Cobalt and CoCrMo Alloys

Choose cobalt materials by composition, product form and supplied condition. Pure cobalt listings and cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys have different material and processing requirements. Specify the grade and intended process before selecting a product.

Compare Pure Cobalt and CoCrMo

Start with 99.95% cobalt rod or 99.95% cobalt plate for a pure cobalt inquiry. For CoCrMo, compare ASTM F75 casting alloy bar and ASTM F1537 wrought alloy bar. F75 includes casting alloy feedstock; it should not be treated as interchangeable with F1537 wrought material. For CoCrMo plate and sheet, confirm the flat-product specification and acceptance requirements rather than inferring compliance from a bar, rod or wire standard.

Prepare a Material Inquiry

Send composition or grade, product form, dimensions, tolerances, condition, quantity, intended processing and the required inspection documents. For purity-sensitive work, state impurity limits and the assay basis. For medical component projects, state the material and testing specification; a stock-material listing does not establish finished-device suitability. Send specifications for a quotation.
