Description
T2 copper plate for conductive and machined parts
T2 copper plate is a flat copper product used for conductive components, busbar blanks and thermal parts. For machining or fabrication, the required thickness, flatness, temper and surface condition are as important as the grade name. Send a drawing so the proposed material can be checked against the finished-part requirements.
This listing focuses on plate blanks and machined components. For formed sheet components and sheet-format inquiries, compare our T2 copper sheet. Their catalogue ranges overlap; specify your actual dimensions and processing needs when requesting a quotation.
Plate dimensions and ordering options
These catalogue ranges are for initial selection. Confirm the available combination of dimensions, temper and finish with the quotation; not every combination is held in stock.
| Ordering item | Catalogue range / requirement |
|---|---|
| Thickness | 0.3–80 mm; state nominal thickness and permitted variation |
| Width | Up to 1000 mm, subject to thickness and supply confirmation |
| Length | Up to 3000 mm; state cut size and any machining allowance |
| Temper | State the required temper or mechanical-property requirement |
| Surface | Mill, polished or brushed; define the finish and protection needed |
| Processing | Submit a drawing for cutting, holes, edge preparation or machining |
| Quantity | Specify the plate count, dimensions and/or total weight |
T2, C11000 and the acceptance standard
T2 is commonly compared with C11000 in conductive-copper purchasing. It should not be treated as an automatic substitute: the required grade, chemical composition, temper and inspection criteria must agree with the drawing and purchase order. See the C11000 material reference and our T2 copper standards guide.
If the order calls for ASTM B152/B152M, also identify the copper grade and applicable edition. A standard reference on a product page does not itself establish batch compliance or certification. Request the material documentation and tests needed for acceptance before placing the order.
Application and processing checks
- Busbars and electrical parts: specify current-carrying design requirements, conductivity criteria, contact surfaces and any plating requirement.
- Machined thermal components: provide a drawing with flatness, hole locations, surface finish and machining allowances.
- Forming and joining: identify bend geometry and joining conditions so the temper and grade can be reviewed.
- Special environments: state oxygen limits, service temperature and exposure conditions. A general copper description is not an approval for vacuum, reducing-atmosphere or seawater service.
Inspection, packing and quotation
Specify whether chemical analysis, dimensional inspection, mechanical testing, conductivity testing or a mill test certificate is required. Agree any EN 10204 document type or third-party inspection in advance; document availability and test scope are confirmed for the order.
For packing, state whether protective film, interleaving, batch identification or special export packaging is needed. Availability, minimum quantity and delivery time depend on dimensions, processing, quantity and inspection requirements and are confirmed with the quotation.
Can T2 plate be ordered as C11000?
Send the C11000 specification with your inquiry. The proposed supply and supporting documents must be reviewed against that requirement before an alternative is accepted.
What should I send for a quotation?
Include grade, thickness × width × length, quantity, temper, drawing, tolerances, finish, inspection documents, destination and required date.
